|Repair Work Begins On NH 16 In Dummer
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces that road construction work has begun on NH Route 16 in Dummer. This section of road, just south of the intersection with NH Route 110A, was closed in early August, after a portion of the road was lost in a landslide.
Clearing operations began today and earthwork operations are scheduled to begin next week with drainage work, stonework, selects and paving to follow closely behind. The new section of road is scheduled to be paved and to be open to traffic by October 31, 2009 with a final completion date of November 20, 2009.
During the road construction, traffic will continue to be detoured via Routes 110-A and 110-B with parts of Route 16 open to local traffic only.
R. S. Audley of Bow, New Hampshire is the contractor for the project.
