PAVEMENT REHABILITATION WORK ON NH ROUTE 38 IN PELHAM
5.8 MILES FROM STATE LINE TO SALEM TOWN LINE

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the start of pavement rehabilitation and safety work along NH Route 38 in Pelham.

This project begins at the Massachusetts State line and proceeds 5.8 miles to the Salem Town line. The southern three miles of the projects involves grinding the existing pavement, drainage installation, safety improvements, and four inches of new pavement. The northern 2.8 miles of the project involves pavement leveling and the placement of a new one-inch wearing course of pavement.

During this paving operation, traffic will be one-way alternating in the work zone area. Some delays can be expected and motorists should plan accordingly.

Pike Industries Inc., of Belmont, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $1.8 million project, which has a final completion date of June 14, 2002.
