The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces a traffic detour will be in effect on NH Route 3A in Bristol on Tuesday, July 17 and possibly through Wednesday, July 18.

This detouring of traffic onto High Street from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm will be necessary in order to perform drainage work associated with the road reconstruction work.

Uniformed officers will be used to assist motorists with the short detour.

This project includes road reconstruction, drainage improvements and slope stabilization on the eastern side of the roadway near the Pemigewasset River.

Weaver Brothers Inc., of Bow, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $1.174 million project, which is scheduled to be completed this fall (2001)
