NIGHT PAVING TO BEGIN ON INTERSTATE 95 IN NORTH HAMPTON
PROJECT INCLUDES WORK ON SPAULDING TURNPIKE IN NEWINGTON AND DOVER

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces night paving work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, July 18, 2001 on northbound lanes of Interstate 95 in North Hampton. This project includes night pavement resurfacing of 2.45 miles of Interstate 95, northbound and southbound in North Hampton, the I-95 Exit 1 ramps in Seabrook, and a one-third mile section of NH Route 107.

The I-95 northbound lane paving will take place on Sunday through Thursday nights from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am. No work will take place on Friday and Saturday nights. The I-95 southbound lane paving will take place on Monday through Thursday nights, with no work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. The I-95 Exit 1 interchange ramps will be paved on Monday through Friday nights from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Night paving work is also scheduled to occur on the Spaulding Turnpike in Dover and Newington. This will involve 1.24 miles of the northbound lanes and 1.63 miles of the southbound lanes, including the bridge decks over Little Bay and ramps to Woodbury Avenue, River Road, the River Road turnaround (Exit 4), and the southbound-northbound turnaround.

Brox Industries, Inc., of Dracut, Massachusetts is the contractor for the $976,000 project. The anticipated completion date is mid-September of 2001.
