The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the construction of a new bridge carrying the NH Route 28 Bypass over Lake Massabesic at Deerneck Channel in Auburn will require a traffic shift.

Beginning Monday, July 16, 2001, traffic will be detoured onto a newly constructed temporary bridge. This work is necessary to facilitate the construction of a new bridge in the same location as the existing one. Uniformed officers and signs will be in place to direct traffic. No delays are expected. Motorists are urged to proceed with caution through the work zone.

Traffic is expected to be returned to the new bridge by November 2001. The final completion date of the project is June 2002. R.S. Audley, Inc. of Bow, New Hampshire is the prime contractor for the $2,475,000 project.
