NEW WELCOME CENTER OPENS FOR BUSINESS IN NASHUA
Motorists traveling on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in the Nashua area now have a new facility where they can take a break. The State of New Hampshire's newest Welcome Center opened for business this week. The new $2 million facility is located six miles north of the Massachusetts border off Broad Street in Nashua. It's easily accessible by both northbound and southbound motorists exiting at Exit 6 of the F.E. Everett Turnpike. The colonial style 4,800 square foot handicapped accessible building has an open-concept reception area for visitors with a cedar-lined cathedral ceiling, skylights, a brick and granite fireplace, a courtesy desk, and rest rooms. The grounds of the facility include 130 car parking spaces and eight truck/RV parking spaces, heated entrance walkways, a river walk, a fenced pet enclosure, picnic tables, and vending and telephone shelters. The new Nashua Welcome Center is open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. |
