| BRIDGE REPAIRS AND TRAFFIC LANE SHIFTS ON US ROUTE 4 IN DURHAM The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces bridge deck repairs requiring traffic lane shifts have been scheduled at the US Route 4 bridge over NH Route 108 in Durham. The work is anticipated to begin Tuesday, November 28, 2000 and last approximately two weeks. A New Hampshire Department of Transportation crew will shift lanes through the work area during daytime work hours starting November 28. Two-way traffic will be maintained through the project, though brief stoppages may be necessary at times. Lane shifts may also be necessary on NH Route 108 below the bridge. Plans are to use advanced warning signs, changeable message signs, and cones to guide vehicles through the work. In the event of adverse weather, the start of work may be delayed until the next suitable workday. Motorists traveling on US Route 4 and NH Route 108 in Durham are asked to reduce speed and use caution when driving through the work area, as workers and equipment will be present. Minor delays should be expected. |
