I-93 SALEM-MANCHESTER ADVISORY TASK FORCE MEETING IN DERRY The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces an I-93 Advisory Task Force meeting will be held Thursday, November 9, 2000 in Derry to discuss highway alternatives, transit options and high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes. Information gathered at two previous Advisory Task Force regarding these issues will be discussed. This November 9 public meeting will be held at the West Running Brook School, 1 West Running Brook Lane, in Derry, New Hampshire. An informal presentation of information will begin at 6:00 pm, followed by a question and comment period. This project involves the proposed widening of Interstate 93 from the state line in Salem to the I-93/I-293/NH 101 split in Manchester. It is currently in the study phase during which the widening of I-93 is being considered, as well as improvments to the five affected interchanges. The study also includes evaluating other forms of transportation such as bus and rail services. This meeting is open to the general public and citizens are encouraged to attend. |
