The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces that beginning Tuesday, October 10, 2000, the F.E. Everett Turnpike Exit 1 southbound off-ramp to Spit Brook Road will be closed for five days to allow for the construction of the new connector ramp.

During the ramp closure period, motorists who normally use Exit 1 southbound are advised to use Exit 2 and proceed south on Daniel Webster Highway to Spit Brook Road.

Later this month, the Everett Turnpike Exit 2 southbound on-ramp to Massachusetts will be closed for 10 days to allow for the construction of the new connector ramp to Spit Brook Road. While the Exit 2 ramp is closed, motorists who normally use this ramp are advised to use the Daniel Webster Highway south to Spit Brook Road tothe Everett Turnpike south into Massachusetts.

Detour signs and message boards will be used while the ramps are closed to assist motorists and to help minimize inconvenience.

The new connector ramps are expected to be open to traffic by November 15. The final completion date for the project is July 1, 2001.
