GUARDRAIL REPLACEMENT ON EVERETT TURNPIKE/I-293/I-93
WILL REQUIRE CLOSURE OF I-293 EXIT 6 NORTHBOUND ON RAMP FOR TWO DAYS

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces guardrail replacement work on Interstate 293 in Manchester will require the closure of the Exit 6 (Amoskeag Bridge) northbound on ramp on Wednesday, October 4 and Thursday, October 5, 2000.

The I-293 Exit 6 northbound on ramp will be closed between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm on both October 4 and October 5. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes to access I-293 northbound.

This work is part of $658,000 contract which involves the replacement of cable guardail with beam guardrail on the F.E. Everett Turnpike, Interstate 293, and Interstate 93 from Exit 8 in Nashua to 2.3 miles south of the Manchester/Hooksett town line.

CWS Fence and Guardrail Co., of Andover, New Hampshire is the prime contractor for the project, which is scheduled to be completed by November 2000.
