I-89 ROAD WORK IN SUNAPEE WILL REQUIRE RAMP CLOSURE
EXIT 12A SOUTHBOUND OFF-RAMP TO BE CLOSED FOR TWO WEEKS

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces drainage work on an Interstate 89 construction project in Sunapee will require the closure of the Exit 12A southbound off ramp for approximately two weeks.

Beginning the week of October 2, 2000, southbound motorists wishing to exit at Exit 12A will be detoured two miles south to Exit 12 and then north to Exit 12A. Detour signs and variable message boards will be used to keep motorists informed and assist them with the detour.

This project includes road and bridge work on seven miles of Interstate 89 from Sunapee to Grantham. It involves bridge repairs, paving, guardrail improvements, and ledge removal.

Continental Paving, Inc., of Londonderry, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $17.8 million project, which is scheduled to be completed in July 2002.
