BLASTING SCHEDULED IN NASHUA AT EVERETT TURNPIKE CONNECTOR RAMP PROJECT
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the construction of two connector ramps between Exit 2 and Exit 1 of the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua will require three days of blasting in order to remove rock ledge. The blasting is expected to take place over three days, from Wednesday, September 6, through Friday, September 8. Plans are for blasting to occur at approximately 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM each day. State Police rolling roadblocks will be used on the Everett Turnpike and associated ramps to accomplish the work. Traffic delays during the each blasting session are not expected to exceed ten minutes. This project will allow southbound traffic entering the Everett Turnpike at Exit 2 to exit at Exit 1 (Spitbrook Road) and northbound traffic entering the Everett Turnpike at Exit 1 to exit at Exit 2. Audley Construction, Inc., of Bow, New Hampshire is the contractor for the $2,844,000 project. The connector ramps are expected to be open to traffic by November 15, 2000. The final completion date for the project is July 1, 2001. |
