ROUTE 2 CORRIDOR STUDY MEETING SET FOR JEFFERSON PRELUDE TO INDIVIDUAL COMMUNITY MEETINGS

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces a public meeting of the US Route 2 Corridor Study Committee will be held Thursday, August 17, 2000 in Jefferson.

The 18-month study is looking at both transportation and land use along US 2, an important east-west highway in northern New Hampshire. It includes the five affected Route 2 corridor communities of Shelburne, Gorham, Randolph, Jefferson and Lancaster. Separate community meetings are planned to begin in September.

The August 17 public session will be held at the Jefferson Town Hall, beginning at 6:00 PM.

All persons who live, travel, work and recreate along the corridor are encouraged to attend the meeting.
