The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces a traffic shift requiring temporary one-way alternating traffic will take place this Friday, July 28, at a road improvement project on NH Route 106 in Belmont.

This traffic shift will occur south of the intersection of NH 106 with Farrarville and Lamprey Roads. Motorists should expect minor delays during the traffic switch due to the one-way alternating traffic. Variable message boards and police officers will be used to alert motorists and direct traffic through the work zone. The posted speed limit through the work zone is 40 MPH.

This project involves the rehabilitation of approximately 2.5 miles of NH Route 106 from Farrarville Road to Plummer Road. Also included are the realignment of three intersections, some shoulder widening, and guardrail, signing, and drainage improvements.

Weaver Brothers Construction Company, Inc., of Bow, NH, is the contractor for the $3.5 million project, which is scheduled to be completed in June 2001.
