The New Hampshire Department of Transportation, Division of Aeronautics, announces that over $6,900 was disbursed in support of the Airport Property Tax Reimbursement Grant Program

The intent of the Airport Property Tax Reimbursement Grant Program is to alleviate some of the financial burden incurred by those owners of private airports that are open to the public. To be eligible for the program, the airport sponsor must meet certain eligibility requirements.

In Fiscal Year 2000, which ended June 30th, nine airports were eligible for receipt of these funds.

Funds were disbursed in the amounts shown to the following airports:

Franconia Soaring Center: $1,063.15
Hampton Airfield: $2,242.93
Hawthorne: $325.99
Jaffrey: $2,343.00
Moultonboro: $991.15
Mount Washington: $247.83
