BRIDGE STEEL ERECTION ON NH ROUTE 101 IN STRATHAM
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces that the erection of structural steel has begun at the future eastbound NH Route 101 bridge over NH Route 108 in Stratham. This bridge steel erection work is expected to take a little more than two weeks to complete. Work performed during the day will not affect NH Route 108 traffic patterns. Beginning the evening of Tuesday, June 27, certain steel girders will be placed between the hours of 10:00 pm and 6:00 am when traffic volumes are low. During the nighttime work, one lane of traffic will be maintained in both directions on NH 108. Minor traffic delays can be expected during the nighttime work. Changeable message signs will be used to keep motorists informed. R.S. Audley, Inc. of Bow, NH is the general contractor for the $10,032,000 bridge project, which is part of the NH Route 101 expansion project. The Route 101 eastbound bridge over NH 108 is scheduled to open to traffic by early October 2000, along with the new eastbound lanes of NH Route 101 from Exeter to Hampton. |
