|Night Lane Closure on I-93 Northbound in Salem
Opening of New Northbound Off Ramp at Exit 2
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces night work associated with the construction of Interstate 93 northbound in the vicinity of the Exit 2 Interchange in Salem.
Weather permitting; construction operations will take place on the night of Sunday, August 17. This work will consist of realigning the roadway striping on Interstate 93 in order to move traffic onto the new northbound off ramp at Exit 2.
Construction operations will require traffic on I-93 to be reduced to one lane utilizing a lane closure. This will take place during non-commuter hours, from approximately 9:00 pm to 6:00 am. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.
This work is part of the $41 million I-93 widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 2. The general contractor is George R. Cairns & Sons, Inc. of Windham, NH.
