MX Surface Analysis (v8i)
MX offers a handfull of surface analysis tools to aid in evaluating surface string models. From the Analysis menu, select Surface Analysis...

On the Model to Analyze panel, specify either a string or triangulation model to analyze:
- If a triangulation model is selected (recommended model), then a triangulation string is also required.
- If a string model is selected, then specify the appropriate masking for this model. For surveyed ground models, use the GroundTriangle.msk.
Click Options... to adjust any of the defaults for Surface Analysis. Select OK to return to the Model to Analyze panel.
Analysis within a Boundary is also available. From the Model to Analyze panel, click Next to advance to the Surface Analysis panel.
The Surface Analysis panel

The Surface Analysis panel is the entry to 10 surface analysis options, select from:
- Contours

- Slope Bands
- Aspect Bands
- Flat Spots
- Steep Slopes
- Flow Arrows
- Simple Profile
