MXChange

Things to be Aware of Before Starting MfM

Prerequisites

Before starting MX for MicroStation (MfM), it is recommended to enter MX for Windows (MX) to ensure that the desired Project and MX drawing are current.

Upon starting MfM, MX will search for and enter a MicroStation drawing file (DGN) with the same name as the current MX Drawing file (DPW/DPF).  It is recommended that this DGN be created prior to starting MfM to ensure that the proper seed files were referenced.  If this DGN with the same name does not exist, then one will be created automatically.

If a DGN with the same name already exists and contains data, then it is recommended to make a back-up copy of the DGN prior to starting MfM.  Some changes made to the MicroStation drawing by MfM during its startup process are irreversible.  Exiting the session without saving changes will not undo all modifications.
