MX Offset Reports

Summary

This process can be used to generate reports of the offset and elevation distance between two MX features

Procedure

The process of generating an offset report begins by selecting the Normal Intersection option from Geometric Reports on the Report menu.

Select the model and string names for the reference string and the one being compared. At each point on the reference string, MX will report the offset and elevation difference of the second string at that point.  If an exact point does not exist on the second string, one will be interpolated.

On the Confidence Interval tab, checking the box to Allow Confidence Interval Report will generate a brief report at each point.  Choose any of the values for the two intervals.  If this box is not checked, you will get the expanded report which includes coordinates of both strings at each point, slope distance, plan distance, and cross slope between the strings at each point.

Click OK or Apply to create the report.  You may want to send it to an output file for later review.
