Plymouth Airport

The town of Plymouth is an eclectic mix of traditional New England, and the culture of a college town. It is home to Plymouth State University, a full service four-year university. Plymouth is also located at the gateway to the White Mountain National Forest. The town is strategically located within an hour's drive of the state capital in Concord and only 30 minutes from Franconia Notch. In fact, Plymouth Airport is probably the most convenient general aviation airport for visitors wishing to have their "run of the state." You can be close to Waterville Valley, a popular year-round resort destination, the Lake Region, and the Connecticut River Valley area. Numerous B&B's, hotels and other lodging options are located nearby. Other features of the airport include:

• The Plymouth Airport has opportunities available for those interested in building hangars.
• The town of Plymouth is working with Plymouth State University to install ASOS weather equipment at the airport to aid pilots flying into the area, as well as provide research data for the University's meteorological programs.
• In March 2003, a David E. Kelly television series was filmed in Plymouth, New Hampshire. The area was chosen for this project largely because of the look and feel of a quaint community, beautiful historic structures and mountain views.
• Enjoy an unguided walking tour through New Hampshire's Polar Caves, a pre-historic natural wonder carved during the Glacier Period.
