Independent Living Programs and Services

For many Americans with disabilities, Independent Living means freedom – the freedom to make choices in their lives.

Taking an active part in daily living at home and in the community, which some people take for granted, can be difficult for a person with a significant disability. Independent Living programs can help over come barriers; especially those that impede a person’s ability to pursue activities of his/her own choice.

A variety of services are available in New Hampshire to assist people with disabilities in achieving their personal life choices and goals.

Independent Living Programs and Services

Note: Eligibility for services from the Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) and the State Independent Living Program is based on the existence of a significant disability that impedes independence. Some of the services available are dependent upon financial need.

For information on any of these programs, contact GSIL - Main Office 21 Chenell Drive, Concord, NH 03301, Tel: 603/228-9680, 800/826-3700 (Toll-free), 888/396-3459 (TTY), 603/225-3304 (FAX)
