*****For Immediate Release***** CONCORD, NH-- In the month of March New Hampshire will celebrate Women's History Day to commemorate the vast and important contributions that women have made throughout the history of New Hampshire and the world. Governor Jeanne Shaheen has commemorated this important month by signing a declaration declaring March Women's History Month. In observance of Women's History Day, the New Hampshire Commission on the Status of Women has posted the Governor's proclamation on their web page along with many other Women's History resources. These resources include information about the significance of women's History month, resources for educators and parents, and a list of women authors in New Hampshire and can be accessed at www.nh.gov/csw. The Commission on the Status of Women applauds the efforts of educators and community groups to feature and celebrate the important role women have played in our rich history.
