One of the benefits of joining the armed forces is the educational support that comes with service. You do not have to be enlisted full time to take advantage of educational benefits.

Those interested in exploring the benefits of enlisting in the army for full time active duty, part time reserve, and ROTCs should visit

Education Center for ROTC Programs
These programs are for those enlisted in the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force. Each branch offers Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) scholarships available to eligible students. The scholarships provide full tuition including book and registration fees.

HORIZONS Foundation Scholarship Program
The organization Women in Defense sponsors this scholarship award to encourage women to pursue careers related to U.S. national security interests. Applicants should be pursuing studies in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, business, law, international relations, political science, operations research or economics. This scholarship is open to both graduate and undergraduate students, although undergraduates must be juniors. The scholarships range from $500 to $2,000.

New Hampshire Army National Guard
New Hampshire National Guard Education Assistance Act became law in 1996 and allows all active New Hampshire National Guards who have completed advanced individual training to attend New Hampshire's state schools tuition free on a space-available basis. Federal education benefits are available to all unit members who enlist for six years. Some financial benefits include:
