In 1997, the NH Commission on the Status of Women created the Annual Women’s Recognition Award. The award honors a New Hampshire woman who has brought honor and prestige to herself and to the state through her professional, civic, and/or personal accomplishments. The award is conferred each year in observance of Women’s Equality Day, August 26th, at the August meeting of the Governor and Executive Council. Past recipients of the award are:
