11th ANNUAL WOMEN’S RECOGNITION AWARD RECIPIENT

The New Hampshire Commission on the Status of Women will present the Eleventh Annual Women’s Recognition Award on October 3, 2007, at the Governor and Executive Council meeting to be held at 10:00 AM at the Youth Development Center in Manchester. The award is given each year to a woman chosen by the Commission who has brought honor and valor to herself and to the state through her accomplishments and contributions.

Nominations for the Women’s Recognition Award are open to the public. Along with Ms. Boggis, eleven other New Hampshire women were nominated for the award this year. They are: Charla Bizios Stevens of Bedford, Cheryl Darisse of Hudson, Jacqueline Davis of Auburn, Cathy Duffy of Hudson, Elaine M. Fahey of Nashua, Jeanne Gerulskis of Concord, Gyme Hardy of Concord, Deborah Osgood of Exeter, Peggy Smith of Nashua, Jane Stapleton of Durham, and Terry Sturke of Concord.

The Women’s Recognition Award is made annually in conjunction with Women’s Equality Day, August 26, and is part of the Commission on the Status of Women’s activities, which are designed to address issues in women’s lives and to recognize women of achievement in the state.
