Pay equity policies can be implemented simply and without undue costs or hardship in both the public and private sectors.
Consider these remedies:
Raise the minimum wage; ensure benefits for part-time workers; enhance women-owned business opportunities; increase availability of post-secondary education loans; encourage non-traditional training and employment for women; strengthen enforcement of fair employment laws.
