Mission Statement:

The New Hampshire Commission on the Status of Women advocates on behalf of the diverse population of the state’s women by identifying and seeking to remedy historical and institutional discrimination that act as social, political, and economic barriers to the full realization of women’s basic rights.

Established in 1969 by state statute, the Commission works to meet its legislative mandates, outlined under RSA 19-B, by providing a voice of advocacy on legislative and public policy issues; by enhancing women’s opportunities in education and training, business and employment; and by honoring women for their contributions to the state and nation.
