Concord, NH - Listed below are the four  items that were approved at a Special Meeting of the Governor and Council July 28, 2009 that might be of interest to District Five constituents.

The next Governor and Council Meeting will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2009 in the State House, Concord, NH.

DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
Authorized the Department of Environmental Services and the Fish and Game Department to enter into an agreement with Absorption Technologies, Inc., Providence RI, in the amount of $1,094,075 to remove the Winnicut River Dam and install a technical fishpass system beneath the Route 33 Bridge in Greenland, NH. Effective upon G&C approval though December 31, 2010.   45.65% ARRA Funds, 30.78% Federal Funds, 23.56% F&G Funds.
Authorized to approve loan agreements with the entities listed in the letter dated July 21 in the amount of $5,485,000 to finance wastewater improvement projects under the provision of RSA 486:15 and NH Code of Administrative Rules Env-Wq 500et seq. Effective upon G&C approval. 43.17% ARRA Funds, 47.99% Federal funds, 8.84% Capital (General) Funds
Authorized to enter to approve loan agreements with the Public Water Systems listed in the letter dated July 21 in the amount of $6,866,962 to finance water system improvement projects under the provision of RSA 486:14 and NH Code of Administrative Rules Env-Dw 1100 et seq. Effective upon G&C approval. 15.67% Federal Funds, 4.11% Capital (General) Funds, 30.22% Other loan funds, 50% ARRA Funds

OFFICE OF ENERGY AND PLANNING
Authorized the to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Administrative Services in the amount of $10,071,641, for work to be accomplished as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act- State Energy Programs- State Building Energy Efficiency/ Renewable Energy Projects effective upon G&C approval though June 30, 2012. 100% ARRA-SEP Funds

Represents the cities and towns of Amherst, Brookline, Dunbarton, Fitzwilliam, Goffstown, Greenville, Hinsdale, Hollis, Jaffrey, Keene, Lyndeborough, Mason, Merrimack, Milford, Mont Vernon, Nashua, New Boston, New Ipswich, Peterborough, Richmond, Rindge, Sharon, Swanzey, Temple, Troy, Wilton, and Winchester.
