Concord, NH - Listed below are some of the items that were approved at the Governor and Council Meeting February 18, 2009 that might be of interest to District Five constituents.
The next Governor and Council Meeting will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in the State House, Concord, NH.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FINANCE AUTHORITY
Authorized to enter into an agreement with the City of Keene, NH, for the purpose of renovating Central Square Terrace in the amount of $390,000. Effective upon G&C approval through December 31, 2010. 100% Federal Funds.
DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Authorized a lease renewal agreement with Gerald Q. Nash, Nashua, NH, for $2,222,437.34 for 30,482 square feet of office space, Concord, NH. Effective April 1, 2009 through March 31, 2014.
DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
Authorized Bureau of Court Facilities to enter into a lease agreement with the County of Hillsborough, Goffstown, NH, for state owned property located in Hillsborough County Courthouse, Manchester, NH. Effective retroactive to July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2009. 100% Transfer Funds (Transfer from AOC Rents from Other Agencies – General Funds).
OFFICE OF THE ADJUTANT GENERAL
Authorized Captain Alyn L. Theriault, Milford, NH, be nominated for promotion to the rank of Colonel, NH Air National Guard. This officer meets all prerequisites for this grade, having been found to be physically, mentally, morally, and professionally qualified.
DEPARTMENT OF CULTURAL RESOURCES
Authorized Division of Arts to accept and expend $10,000 from the Nashua Community College for the Percent for Arts program. Effective upon G&C approval. 100% Donated Funds.
Authorized Division of Arts to award a FY 2009 Arts in Education grant in the amount of $2,500 to The Moving Company Dance Center / MOCO Arts, Keene, NH. Effective upon G&C approval through June 30, 2009. 100% Federal Funds.
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES
Bureau of Behavioral Health
Authorized to amend a sole source contract with Community Council of Nashua, NH, d/b/a Greater Nashua Mental Health Center at Community Council, Nashua, NH, (previously approved by G&C on 6-4-08, item #118), to provide start-up funds for the implementation of an adult Assertive Community Treatment Team, by increasing the amount by $50,000 from $405,089 to $455,089. Effective upon G&C approval through June 30, 2009. 90% General, 10% Federal Funds.

DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
Authorized Bureau of Public Works Design and Construction to enter into a contract with TLT Construction Corp., Wakefield, MA, for the construction of the new Merrimack Courthouse, Merrimack, NH, for a total price not to exceed $4,275,200. Effective upon G&C approval through January 8, 2010. (2) Further authorize a contingency in the amount of $313,760 for unanticipated expenses for the Merrimack Courthouse, bringing the total to $4,588,960. (3) Further authorize that a transfer of $21,376 to the State Art Fund to purchase art for the Merrimack Courthouse, Merrimack, NH. 100% Capital Funds.
