Concord, NH  - Listed below are some of the items that were approved at the Governor and Council Meeting, January 8, 2009, that might be of interest to District Five constituents.

The next Governor and Council Meeting will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2009 in the State House, Concord, NH.

TREASURY DEPARTMENT
Authorized the following resolution: RESOLVED: Authorize revolving funds of several state departments for which the State Treasurer holds receipts, be renewed for the ensuing two years in accordance with RSA 9:15.
Authorized the following resolution: RESOLVED: That the State Treasurer shall invest and reinvest any surplus funds of the State, in accordance with the provisions of RSA 6:8. RESOLVED: That the State Treasurer shall be and hereby is, designated to act as Custodian of all such funds as have been previously placed in her custody as State Treasurer, and of the other trust funds of the State.

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
Authorized the Commissioner of the Department of Administrative Services, with prior advice and approval of the Governor, to approve transfers of funds up to $25,000 within departments not to exceed the total amounts of funds available, as provided under RSA 9:16 and 9:17. (2) Further Authorized the Commissioner of the Department of Administrative Services to make a report monthly of all such transfers to Governor and Council for their final approval.
Authorized Authorized the Commissioner of the Department of Administrative Services to make transfers from the Salary Adjustment Fund to agency permanent personnel service accounts after approval by the Director of the Division of Personnel, as Authorized under RSA 99:4. (2) Further Authorized the Commissioner of the Department of Administrative Services to make transfer from the Benefit Adjustment Fund to agency benefit accounts, as Authorized under RSA 9:17C. (3) Further Authorized the Commissioner of the Department of Administrative Services to make a monthly report of all such transfers to Governor and Council for their final approval.
