The Governor and Executive Council convened at 5:00 P.M. via teleconference. Councilor Griffin was absent.

The Governor and Executive Council, on motion of Councilor Streeter, seconded by Councilor Burton, authorized the Office of Emergency Management to accept and expend Disaster Assistance funds in the amount of $6,075,000.00 for the period January 20, 1998 through June 30, 2001, from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for damages resulting from the severe ice storm, high winds, and snow on January 7, 1998 through January 16, 1998.. A roll call was requested. The results are as follows: Councilor Burton - Yes; Councilor Spaulding - Yes; Councilor Griffin - Absent; Councilor Normand - Yes; Councilor Streeter - Yes.
