State Conservation Committee (RSA 432:8-17)—To support the technical services for landowners provided by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service the state has established in each county a conservation district administered by a board of supervisors and open to all individuals and entities owning and managing land resources. Coordinating efforts of these districts is the State Conservation Committee composed of state and federal agency representatives and five public members appointed by the governor and council; it is attached administratively to the Department of Agriculture, Markets & Food.
