INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATION FOR APPLICANTS WHO HAVE NOT TAKEN THE EXAM IN NEW HAMPSHIRE
The New Hampshire Board of Accountancy requires that applications and all applicable documentation and required information be submitted as a package. If the college will not send you an official transcript, you may have it sent directly to this agency.
Please use the checklist below before submitting your application materials to us. Applications may not be accepted and can be denied if all required documentation is not submitted.
APPLICATIONS MATERIALS CHECKLIST
	Formal application form, complete and notarized.
	Two 2" by 2" passport photos.
	Three (3) character references. These references must be from persons who have known you for three or more years and who are not related or employers. Please print out three copies of the "Recommendation Form" provided.
	Certified transcript/s from college/s or university/ies. The transcript/s must have an official seal from the registrars office and must state the degree received and date conferrer. After 1/1996 anyone who sat for the CPA Exam must have a minimum of 24 semester credits in business with a minimum of 12 of those 24 credits in accounting.
	An "Authorization for Interstate Exchange." This document must be completed by the state board documenting when you sat for the exam and what grades you received each time you sat, and documenting the date you were certified, your certificate number and whether or not you are in good standing.
	Experience letter/s from employer/s named in your application. You must print out, from the application, and use each of the forms that are provided.
	The fee of $225. Please submit a check or money order made out to the NH Board of Accountancy. Fee is non-refundable.
If you attended a foreign college you need to obtain a foreign evaluation. We recommend contacting World Education Services Inc. (WES). Their address is PO Box 745, Old Chelsea Station, New York, NY 10113 and their telephone number is (212) 966-6311 or International Consultants of Delaware located on the web. The evaluation should at a minimum breakdown the number of accounting and business credits.
